Join the Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada for a special fundraiser dinner, which will be fashioned after the popular Sublime Beefsteak Society of England. The dinner will take place at Navy Hall National Historic Site on November 9, 2023 and will include a steak dinner, live music, an auction and great entertainment.

Started in the 1700’s, the Beefsteak Society came to symbolize patriotic and liberal concepts of prosperity. Throughout the 19th century, the club included royalty such as George IV, statesmen, military leaders, actors, artists such as William Hogarth, musicians and writers.
