We are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration between Warrior Women - Kamâmak and Zuc’min Guiding, showcasing the vibrant intersection of Indigenous culture and urban landscapes. Despite the common misconception that Indigenous communities are solely tied to rural areas, over half of Indigenous peoples reside in cities across North America. Through this collaboration, Indigenous artists are weaving a unique tapestry of writing, music, dance, and art into the urban environment, reclaiming their presence in a dynamic and meaningful way. Join us for a one-of-a-kind experience with Kamâmak & Zuc’min Guiding on a two-hour walking tour of Indigenous murals in Calgary. Discover how our communities (re)claim the city through stories, colours, imagination, and passion. This immersive journey celebrates the resilience and creativity of Indigenous peoples while highlighting the rich cultural heritage embedded within cityscapes. Location
